Canon has officially unveiled the new EOS R, the company’s first full-frame mirrorless competitor. The announcement comes just two weeks after Nikon revealed its first full-frame mirrorless system, the Z Series.

Alongside the new RF lens mount, Canon has announced a trio of EF-to-RF adapters for owners of current Canon DSLR lenses. There's a basic adapter, another with a customizable control wheel to emulate the extra (3rd) knurled ring on the new RF lenses, and a third with support for drop-in filters.
