In my mind, the process of creating a compelling composite image is as close to painting as a photographer can get: it allows you to create almost purely from imagination, not being constricted by physical locations as with traditional photography.

Last summer, I had a shoot with a few friends while we were staying at a cabin over the weekend. This was a low-key, just-for-fun shoot in some creepy woods near the cabin. Heres another shot from that day, which I uploaded to... more

Another VR camera has launched on Kickstarter, but this one does things a little differently: TwoEyes VR features two horizontally-oriented cameras spaced 65mm apart that record footage in a stereoscopic arrangement. The resulting 3D video simulates the way someone would see the subject with their own eyes.

TwoEyes VR features two F2.0 180-degree lenses spaced 65mm apart, which is said to be the average distance between human eyes. The two cameras (CMOS 1/2.3 sensors),... more

Flickr sent out a message to followers of the White House account today that says, more or less, “Say a fond farewell to Pete Souza.” The account that Souza used to chronicle 8 years of the Obama Administration is changing hands. Starting today, the Trump Administration takes over.

After hearing the options to best set us up for retirement, he asked, What are your goals?

I had a lot of trouble answering this, I was in my early thirties, had a successful career, was married, was a father, and was financially stable. Had I already achieved... more

I was fortunate to test out the medium format... more
