Panasonic has formally announced the Leica DG Vario 50-200mm, the latest lens in its line of F2.8-4 zooms. It's the third lens in the series, and the final model Panasonic promised at CES 2017 when it announced the 12-60mm F2.8-4. It covers a 100-400mm equivalent range and features a dust/splashproof design. Panasonic's Power O.I.S. stabilization is included and works with Dual I.S. on compatible Lumix cameras.

Sony Mobile's contribution to the Mobile World Congress 2018 comes in the shape of the Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact smartphones. With a 1/2.3" 19MP image sensor and F2.0 aperture the basic camera specs remain unchanged from the predecessors, but the cameras in the new models offer a couple of improvements that will be especially welcome by mobile videographers.
