Here’s a new time-lapse short film by Slovakian photographer Majo Chud. Titled “Flowers Blooming 2,” the 3-minute video shows a whopping 929 hours of flowers blooming.

The video took Chud 9 months to create. Over that time, he captured 40,000 photos using his Sony a7 mirrorless camera and his Tamron 24-70mm f/2.8 lens. His studio was a simple setup consisting of black blankets and a bulb wrapped in aluminum foil.

Sony’s a7 and a9 series of mirrorless cameras have a bad reputation for their grip ergonomics, and rightly so. I love my Sony a7 III and it’s still the best camera on the market for my particular needs, but the grip just isn’t anywhere near as good as what you find on a pro DSLR.

My pinkie finger has nowhere to go, and when holding the camera for extended periods of time, often with a big chunky lens and a speedlight attached, my hand even starts to hurt.

There was a terrifying crash at the Macau Grand Prix on Sunday. 17-year-old Formula 3 driver Sophia Floersch crashed, went airborne, and slammed directly into a photographers’ box. And it was all caught on camera.
