Leica has introduced firmware version 2.0 for its SL (Typ 601) camera that brings a major change to the cameras focusing as well as a new top shutter speed of 1/16,000sec. The firmware takes the number of AF points available in single point mode from 49 to 529. Leica claims it has also made improvements to the autofocusing systems speed, accuracy and tracking abilities.
