Ricoh has introduced a new rugged compact camera - the WG-50 - which replaces the WG-30. The WG-50 offers a 28-140mm equiv. F3.5-5.5 lens. The WG-50 uses a 16MP BSI-CMOS sensor and is capable of recording Full HD video at 30 fps. It is waterproof for two hours at a depth of 14m/45ft, and can cope with being dropped from a height of 1.6m/5ft, will operate at temperatures as low as -10C/+14F and can withstand 100kg/220lbs of force.
