The end of the year is almost upon us, and as usual, 2016 saw plenty of new lenses released, including several excellent zooms. We've used a lot of them and tested some, but we want to hear from you - what were your favorite zoom lenses of 2016?

It's a great time to be a photographer. Based on reader interest and preferences, we've rounded up a total of twelve prime lenses that were released in 2016 for your consideration in this poll. They run the gamut in terms of lens mount, focal length, maximum aperture, and of course, use case.

For those wanting to step up from entry-level to midrange ILCs, there are many things to consider, including the choice between a DSLR or mirrorless camera, what sensor size suits you best, how important video is to you, and of course the lens system.

The makers of the popular VSCO image capture, editing and sharing app have announced an update to the iOS version of their app. Starting next week, VSCO for iOS will be capable of capturing and editing DNG Raw images on the iPhone 6 and newer models. If you prefer to use Raw files from your DSLR or mirrorless camera, you can import those too for editing in VSCO. That said, there is no information yet on exactly which file formats the app will be able to read.
