Leica has just launched a brand new camera line with the Leica Q (Typ 116). It’s a 24-megapixel fixed-lens full-frame compact camera that brings “iconic Leica features” to a new type of body.

Leica has just introduced the Q (Typ 116), a full-frame compact camera with a fixed, stabilized 28mm F1.7 Summilux lens. It offers a 24MP CMOS sensor and a 3" 1.04M dot touch-sensitive LCD. A built-in LCoS EVF offers an equivalent resolution of 3.68MP, and the Q skips a built-in flash but provides a standard hot shoe. Photo agency Magnum is offering prints from 50 of its photographers in a limited edition sale with each print costing $100. In a similar event to the one it ran last year, the agency challenged a collection of its photographers to find 'an image that changes everything' from their archive. The images will be made into 6x6" prints, most of which will be signed by the photographer. Read more
