German lens manufacturer Meyer Optik Gorlitz intends to produce the last chapter of its Trioplan Trilogy if it gets enough funding from its latest Kickstarter campaign to build the Trioplan 35+. The new lens will sit alongside the companys 100mm F2.8 and 50mm F2.9 Trioplan Soap Bubble lenses and will have a maximum aperture of F2.8.

Even in 2000, the Olympus C-2100UZ's 2MP sensor was a bit behind the times. Accessory manufacturer Fotodiox has introduced a battery-powered LED lighting head that uses a Fresnel lens to create a focusing spot function and the whole thing is as small as a can of soda. The new PopSpot J-500 comes with removable barn doors and can run via the supplied AC adapter or with a NP-F750 video camera battery.
