LG has unveiled the V20, a smartphone with a focus on audiovisual performance that is also the first device to come with Google's Android 7.0 operating system. The latter brings with it the new multi-window mode, a new notification system, improvements to battery management and the in-app search application, which allows for content search from third-party apps. French criminologist (and high school dropout) Alphonse Bertillon was a pioneer in the field of anthropometry the use of human measurements to identify criminals. As a part of this practice, Bertillon standardized the modern mugshot in 1888 with the now familiar frontal and profile portrait, the latter of which was selected because Bertillon believed the ears to be a highly identifiable characteristic.

I remember the first time I picked up a digital camera. It was 2003 and I got this little Canon G5, a good point-and-shoot, and it was 5 megapixels.

Before that, I used film. It had to be scanned into a computer, then manipulated digitally. That was alrightbut when I picked up this Canon, I thought it was amazing. Its instant feedback. You see exactly what youre going to get. You adjust your lighting as you go, youre thinking on your feet.

Optical new-comer TH Swiss has announced pricing for the two versions of its Irix 15mm F2.4 manual focus lens designed for full frame cameras.
